So I restarted the server yesterday in hopes that it would begin a learn cycle. In the past when this has happened, I would restart the server and the battery would then begin a learn cycle and everything would be fine. I then ran the omconfig storage battery action=startlearn controller=0 battery=0 command, and got a Command successful! message, but this didn't seem to start the learning process. I then opened a command prompt and ran the omreport storage battery command - the output showed the same information as the OpenManage web interface. I've also tried changing the "Delay Learn Cycle" to an hour, but after that hour had passed, nothing happened and the "Maximum Learn Delay" is now showing as 0 hours as well. I've tried choosing "Start Learn Cycle" from the drop-down menu, but it doesn't change anything. In the OpenManage software, under System -> Storage -> PERC 6/i Integrated -> Battery, the battery is showing "Degraded" with the "Next Learn Time" showing as 0 hours. Hello all, I have a PowerEdge 2900 server.
